He recently said he feels the same way he did twenty years ago.

And on Sunday, Arnold Schwarzenegger, 70, proved he's still got it when he stepped out at the Arnold Sports Festival in Melbourne.   

The Hollywood star and former politician showcased his buff build and muscly arms in a T-shirt, as he attended an amateur bodybuilding competition as part of the festival.

He also started a charity run on the day.

Arnold looked causal in his black top, which he matched with beige trousers and black and white Adidas sneakers.

He appeared in high spirits, and addressed crowds on the day.

At one point, he happily posed for photographs with fans and was seen walking with Australian politician, Bridget McKenzie.

Arnold recently revealed that on The Project that he doesn't think about ageing.

'I don't even think that I'm 70, I know I'm 70, but so what?' the philanthropist shared in an interview with The Project.

'It's only on my passport or my driver's licence, but I feel the same way as I did 20 years ago.'

'I feel good about myself. I work out. I make my movies. Life is great. I feel useful and productive,' he added.

Arnie is in Melbourne for the 2018 The Arnold Sports Festival.

He will next be seen in film Viy 2: Journey to China alongside Jackie Chan and Jason Flemyng, which is set for release later this year.
