For the ninth year straight, Forbes is looking for the best and boldest young leaders, creators and thinkers to join our dynamic Under 30 community. Founders, funders, philanthropists, foodies, filmmakers, fashionistas they’re all here. It’s an impressive club. Last year's honorees featured musicians like Billie Eilish and Camila Cabello streaming their way to sellout shows, and actors like Timothee Chalamet and Rachel Brosnahan transforming risky roles into Hollywood stardom. Past honorees also include Spotify's Daniel Ek, Away's Steph Korey & Jen Rubio, Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai, Glossier's Emily Weiss and Instagram's Kevin Systrom. With an acceptance rate below 5%, competition is intense.

And the most important part of the list? Your nominations. Every year we sift through tens of thousands of nominations. They serve as the jumping off point for the over 50 reporters that work on this list every year. Think you or someone you know should join the ranks of the Forbes Under 30? Please complete this online nomination form for our 2020 U.S./Canada and Europe lists.

Here’s some helpful information about the process.

What happens after I submit the form?

You will not receive a confirmation email. But you can rest assured that your nomination has been jetted over to the appropriate reporter that will review the application. If they like your nomination, they'll reach out to their sources and your nominee for more information. When they whittle down to their shortlist, they'll hand off the info for our A-list panel of judges for the final selection (previous judges include Mark Benioff, Kirsten Green, Tory Burch, Phil Knight, Jennifer Hyman, David Chang).

What’s the age cut off?

To be eligible for the 2020 Under 30 List, a nominee must be 29 or younger on December 31, 2019 (Born in 1990 or later).

Since the L.A. Clippers drafted him with the first overall pick in the 2009 NBA draft, Blake Griffin has won the Slam Dunk Contest, become Rookie of the Year and made the All-Star team five times. Oh, and he's become a media mogul in his spare time.

Which countries and regions are eligible?

Forbes Media creates three 30 Under 30 Lists (U.S./Canada, Asia and Europe). We are currently opening nominations for both our U.S./Canada and Europe Lists. Please nominate your candidate for the region in which they are the most prominent. This could be based on region of incorporation, majority of sales, residence, etc. Citizenship is not a requirement.

Nominations for 30 Under 30 Asia will open early Fall 2019.

What are you looking for in a nomination?

Our reporters and editors take a holistic approach in evaluating nominees. There is no metric (funding, revenue, partnerships, impact etc) that is a silver bullet for getting on the list. Do your best to include all of the most impressive attributes that put the candidate's best foot forward.

What are the 20 categories?

For the U.S./Canada list, there are 20 categories: Art & Style, Consumer Tech, Education, Energy, Enterprise Tech, Finance, Food & Drink, Games, Healthcare, Hollywood & Entertainment, Law & Policy, Manufacturing & Industry, Marketing & Advertising, Media, Music, Retail & Commerce, Science, Social Entrepreneurs, Sports, Venture Capital.

For the Europe list, there are 10 categories. Please select one of the categories above and we will send your nomination to the appropriate category.

What if I'm not sure what category to pick?

Most nominees could fall under a number of categories. Try to identify which industry your nominee is most prominently impacting. For example, though an EdTech startup could qualify for a number of categories, you should select Education. Don't worry if you choose wrong. Forbes editors review nominations and will make the final call.

What if a company or organization has more than one founder?

You and your cofounders/business partners can be jointly named to Forbes Under 30. When nominating, be sure to include all names of your cofounders or partners who are under 30 years old. If you don't, we may not consider them. Note, if they've aged out, they won't be eligible, but you still are.

What if I don't know all the information to complete the form?

Fill out the form to the best of your ability. Your nomination will get their foot in the door so make sure the information is accurate and highlights why they should be on the list. If we like your nominee, our editors will do their own research into the candidate to confirm all information and will be in touch with you if they require more from the information.

What is the deadline for submissions?

U.S./Canada nominations will close October 2019. Europe nominations will close December 2019.
