The Special Court has given a clean chit to Milan Gurung aka Chakre Milan in a case of money laundering today.
According to records keeper at the court Bin Kumar Shrestha, a bench of judges Ratna Bahadur Bagchand, Chandiraj Dhakal and Pramod Kumar Shrestha handed down the order to clear Gurung of money laundering charges.
The anti-money laundering department had filed a case of corruption on the charge of amassing property through illegal means against five persons including Gurung on May 20, 2013 . The department had sought more than Rs. 70.2 million from the accused.
The chargesheet was filed against Dipak Manange (Rajiv Gurung), Ganesh Lama, Abhishek Giri and Parsuram Basnet on the same day. Manange had already been cleared off the charges.
